4 hours of classes a month to do from the comfort of your own home or by renting a pole studio
Only 1 class a month requires a pole, cutting down your rental time

What our Slinkers are saying…

Classes with you and just your general philosophy and teaching style have helped me SO MUCH to just enjoy the practice instead of "perfecting" the dance.

I know it can be intimidating to join a new space/community, but this is the kindest, most supportive group. Rosy is incredibly knowledgeable and has a keen eye for troubleshooting. You can rest assured that if you join, you'll learn and progress in ways you likely never imagined.

The community is so positive and the classes are fun and accessible for all movement backgrounds.I've met so many lovely dancers who share my values and are just fun to hang out with, and an inspiration to dance with!

Hi, I’m Dr. Rosy Boa
An unapologetic nerd, I combine my Ph.D. with my personal training certification to infuse science into pole. But on a personal note, when I signed up for my first class in 2012– I saw my body as a necessary inconvenience.
I was never the natural athlete. (Who else skipped recess to sit in a corner with a book?) And often, I felt like the only person in the room who was stumbling through the trick we were learning. But by approaching pole like a research problem, I was able to break it down and learn the moves my way. But more importantly, break down all of the beliefs I had about my body, strength, and being a dancer.
Pole transformed my relationship with myself. And I hope by stepping into the online studio, you can watch yourself dance with a new set of eyes, loving who you are in class and beyond the pole.
Pole dance as a movement and self-love practice all in one. With 1 hour a week, you can experience the power of moving into your body both physically and emotionally.
Who Essentials of Slink is for:
Someone who wants a consistent pole practice that builds on itself.
Someone who lives a busy life, but values carving out bits of time to move intuitively and tap into their artistry.
Someone who embodies our inclusive values and wants to add to a likeminded community.
Someone who’s looking to improve their relationship with their body by allowing it to move in the way it moves.
Someone who’s drawn to a scientific and embodied approach when it comes to exercise.
Some kind words
You give a full spectrum of ways to execute a move, from beginner upwards. I also love that you don't teach combos; it makes what we are learning much more approachable and easy to noodle around with when freestyling.

You focus a lot on what feels good while still giving the foundational knowledge. It feels both playful and explorative while still structured.

The freestyle warm ups have changed my pole practice. I feel like I was never properly warmed up before, like I had moved and stretched and warmed up my muscles before but it wasn't the same. With your warmups I feel like my whole body gets properly warmed up even deep muscles. I've never hurt myself on pole if I've done one of the warmups, before your classes I was constantly pulling and muscles and always sore the next days from injury not just gaining muscle. But now my body feels so much better overall.

I like that it's recorded classes since I feeI like I go slow when I do exercises and so its nice to be able to pause and rejoin.

Where most fitness classes focus on pushing you, we pull you away from the tension of life so you can melt into your body, nourishing it with movement that feels good to practice weekly.
