Instead of striving for a specific aesthetic, this session focuses on sensation and discovering possibilities and maybe even flow. Michelle defines “flow” as a state of mind or feeling that can be found through listening to your body, exploring paths with different intentions and following pleasure in movement. We prioritize curiosity and playfulness, cultivating a dynamic, embodied practice where there's no single "right way" to move. And allowing repetition to become the rich soil for new discoveries.

ALL pole levels are welcome. This workshop is rooted in Michelle’s personal low flow freestyle endeavours and movement explorations though you're welcome to try prompts higher up if that's where you want to be.

What to expect

  • guided movement exploration with the pole

  • rediscovering familiar pathways and moving beyond those

  • reflection and sharing moments – we will pause to reflect and write down discoveries, and make space to exchange insights with others

  • ideas to nurture your personal movement journey, whether you're taking your first steps in your free movement practice (freestyle) or deepening an existing one

This workshop is for you if

  • you're curious about what your body wants to do, not just what looks good

  • you're interested in sensation, pleasure and play over polish

  • you want to slow down and actually listen to your movement

  • you’re willing to practice letting go of mainstream pole aesthetics

This workshop is not for you if

  • you are looking for a choreography-focused class

  • you want to be guided through new combos, pole tricks and moves

  • you'd rather keep moving than pause to reflect
